A little about us…

Growing up in Omaha, Nebraska, Zak always had an appreciation for the outdoors. From an early age, he found himself drawn to nature—whether it was tending to plants, watching fish glide through the water, or dreaming up ways to create serene landscapes. This passion led him to a career in landscaping, where he spent nine years working with a local company, mastering the art of transforming outdoor spaces.
But it wasn’t just plants and stonework that fascinated him—water was his true calling. On the side, he began maintaining koi ponds for local clients, bringing life and tranquility to their backyards. What started as a few small jobs quickly grew into something bigger, and before long, Zak realized his passion had the potential to become a full-time business.
With hard work and dedication, he took the leap and founded Zak’s Pond Service, a company specializing in designing, building, and maintaining koi ponds. His hands-on approach, deep knowledge of aquatic ecosystems, and commitment to quality quickly earned him a loyal customer base.
A friendly introvert by nature, Zak finds peace in working with his hands and takes great pride in the relationships he builds—with his family, his friends, and the clients who trust him to bring their visions to life. Whether he’s operating an excavator, sculpting the perfect water feature, or ensuring a koi pond thrives, he pours his heart into everything he does.
For Zak, it’s not just about business—it’s about creating something lasting, something beautiful, and something that brings people closer to nature.
